ANNA, THE PROPHETESS

36 There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38 Coming up to them at the very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Welcome to Anna's Ministry, a women's ministry dedicated to empowering and uplifting women in their faith journey. Founded on the principles of love, compassion, and faith, our ministry strives to create a supportive community where women can grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally.

Our namesake, Anna, was a woman of great faith and devotion in the Bible. She served God wholeheartedly and dedicated her life to prayer and service in the temple. Inspired by her example, Anna's Ministry seeks to emulate her spirit of dedication and commitment to God.

At Anna's Ministry, we believe in the transformative power of God's love and the importance of building strong relationships within the body of Christ. Through our various programs, events, and resources, we aim to provide women with the tools and support they need to deepen their relationship with God, discover their purpose, and live out their faith boldly.

WHICH OF YOU IS ANNA?

You may wonder, "Which of you is Anna?" It's a question that often brings a smile to our faces because we understand the confusion. While Anna may be lesser-known, her example of faith and devotion remains incredibly powerful. Her story is found in Luke 2:36-38. Anna, from the tribe of Asher and daughter of Phanuel, was deeply committed to a life of fasting and prayer. At 84 years old, having been widowed after just seven years of marriage, she never left the temple, dedicating herself to worship, fasting, and prayer day and night. Her steadfast faithfulness was rewarded with the fulfillment of her longing to see the Messiah.

In April 2011, during a time of great turmoil, a few of us gathered with a shared desire to seek the Lord. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, we read about Anna and realized that God was calling us to seek His face earnestly. As Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us, when we seek God wholeheartedly, we find Him. Our pursuit of His presence amidst challenges led to a transformation—from seeking solace to experiencing profound joy together. What started as a night of support has now become a beautiful fellowship of loving women. We had no idea that God was giving us beauty for ashes.

Just as Anna sought God in the physical temple, we understand that today, we carry His Spirit within us. We can commune with Him anytime, anywhere. Our mission is not just to solve problems but also to revel in His presence and inspire others to do the same. We've discovered that true strength, joy, and purpose are found in walking closely with Him.

So, when someone asks you, "Which of you is Anna?" confidently respond, "We all are." Join us in this journey of faith, fellowship, and growth. Together, we discover the beauty that emerges from seeking God's presence and the transformative power it brings to our lives.
